Easier catches
Set your reel speed to 5 when casting. Increase it to 9 as soon as you get a bite to solidly hook the fish. Watch the line tension as the fish is swimming towards your boat. If it becomes slack, it may lose the hook. Try moving the rod up and down sharply to have the fish change directions and get your line tension up.

Put your boat right over or next to the pod of bassfish and cast very close or close to the boat. Set reel to 5 and drag at 3. Basically you are jigging. Let the lure sink and then reel up slowly. Lightly work the rod mouse up and down till the fish srikes. Then set the hook elevat the rod and keep the left mouse button reeling in down. The fish will be landed within seconds and this works for everything so far. Have 16 lb bass 24 lb cat 22 lb Muskie this way. I use the spoon jigging silver.
i now were to get pike over 26 lb and bass 24 lb evry time u cast :D
