Original Ninja GaidenTurn all 50 Scarabs in at the shop to get the original NES Ninja Gaiden cartridge. It can be played at the arcade machine at Han's bar.
Ninja Dog mode
Intentionally die three times in a row during Chapter 1. Answer "Yes" when Ayane asks "Do you really give up the way of Shinobi?" to unlock the Ninja Dog difficulty setting.
Hard mode
Have a completed saved game file from Ninja Gaiden on your memory card or hard drive to unlock the Hard difficulty setting. Alternately, successfully complete the game on the Ninja Dog or Normal difficulty settings.
Very Hard mode
Have a completed saved game file from Ninja Gaiden: Hurricane Pack 2 on your memory card or hard drive to unlock the Very Hard difficulty setting. Alternately, successfully complete the game on the Hard difficulty setting.
Master Ninja mode
Successfully complete the game on the Very Hard difficulty setting to unlock the Master Ninja difficulty setting.
Mission mode
Successfully complete the game on the Normal or higher difficulty setting to unlock Mission mode.
Movie Theater
Successfully complete the game to unlock the Movie Theater.
Ninja Gaiden arcade
Successfully complete the game to unlock the Ninja Gaiden arcade.
Coming Attractions
Accumulate over one hour of game play time to unlock the Coming Attractions.
Alternate costumes
- Comic: Successfully complete the game on the Ninja Dog or Normal difficulty settings.
- DOA: Successfully complete the "Special" mission.
- Red Muffler: Successfully complete the game on the Hard difficulty setting.
- Ryuken: Successfully complete the game on the Very Hard difficulty setting.
- DOA: Successfully complete the "Special" mission.
