Cheat mode
To unlock cheats, look for small, glowing, white orbs (eggs) hidden throughout Transylvania. Stand on one and press B. If done correctly, a message will appear at the bottom of the screen with more information about what was unlocked.
Archaic Clothes
When fighting Dracula in mission five, get in the bowl of green slime. Press B to collect the cheat icon.
Archangel Skin
In mission seven, place the egg on the pedestal. Then, successfully complete the Ring challenge.
Armory Anytime
Find the large gear room in the Castle Frankenstein's basement. Stand on the wooden platform on the right side of the room, then use the grappling hook to reach it. Additionally, jump on the stallions while fighting Demon Verona on the stagecoach. Get knocked off the stallions by of the brides. An intermission that shows Van Helsing getting dragged under the coach will appear. Repeatedly tap B while under the coach to collect the cheat icon. Alternately, first complete the game and get the Gatlin Gun upgrade. When you get into the gear room, instead of going into the door, power it up and go to the other side. Use your grappling hook and it will take you to a stone door. Use your Gatlin Gun upgrade to start a intermission sequence and it will be Armory Anytime.
Big Head
In mission two, look near the Ghost Body cheat icon to find the Big Head cheat icon near a wagon.
Big Melee
In mission three, go in the mausoleum at the top of the stairs. The cheat icon can be found in the left coffin in the far back side.
Color body
In mission three, look behind the crates on the right side of the corridor that runs between the graveyard and the library.
Dwerger Skin
In mission five, put the egg on the pedestal. Then, successfully complete the Destroy The Statues challenge.
Fell Skin
Successfully complete mission five, then get egg in the well. Defeat the werewolf in the town, and put the egg on a pedestal to get the cheat icon.
Gargoyle Skin
In mission two, put the egg on the pedestal. Then, successfully complete the Maze challenge.
Ghost Body
In mission two, look behind the "dragon" door at the start of the train station to find the cheat icon. Use the alternate Tojo blades to collect it.
Ghost Fiend
In mission two, find the "dragon" door in the village square at the base of the silo. Use the Alternate Tojo Blades to break it open and collect the cheat icon.
Infinite Ammunition
Successfully complete the game on the hard difficulty setting.
Infinite Speed
Just after entering the side courtyard of Castle Frankenstein, turn left (in the direction of the tower). Double jump around until you can see the cheat icon. Use the grappling hook to reach it.
Metal Body
During mission ten, you must knock over a large statue to create a bridge. At the base of that statue, use the Alternate Crossbow to break open a "dragon" door to find the cheat icon.
Metal Fiend
In mission seven, proceed to the part where you must climb the waterfall. While climbing, you will find a rock that can be grappled. The cheat icon is located just above that rock. Continue climbing to the top of the waterfall, position yourself directly above that rock, then drop on to it to collect the cheat icon when falling.
Plain World
In mission 3, get to the top of the waterfall. Jump on the single pillar, then grapple over to the ledge with the cheat icon.
Power Clothes
Successfully complete the game wearing your hat on every mission.
Rifle
Win all of the Easter Egg mini-games twice to get the Rifle.
Shadow Body
In mission eleven, get to the top of the icy cliffs and go inside the cathedral. Use the Alternate Shotgun to shoot the wall to the right of the door to reveal the cheat icon.
Shadow Fiend
Jump on the stallions while fighting Aleera and Verona on the stagecoach. Get knocked off the stallions by of the brides. An intermission that shows Van Helsing getting dragged under the coach will appear. Repeatedly tap B while under the coach to collect the cheat icon.
Sick Player
Enter the second cave in mission 6. Use your shotgun to break open the "dragon" door to access the cheat icon.
Small Fiend
In mission six, enter the side entrance to the castle. After defeating the werewolves, walk to the lion gargoyle that is pouring water and press B. The cheat icon is in its mouth.
Translucent Body
In mission two, get past the train station area and look behind the "dragon" door.
Translucent Fiend
Successfully complete the game, then play mission two. Shoot the Alternate Crossbow at a statue found on top of a small cliff to reveal the cheat icon.
Wraith Skin
In mission eleven, put the egg on the pedestal. Then, successfully complete the Rising Blood challenge.
Mission one cheat icon
When you first can use the grapple, you will see something white glowing. It is the cheat icon. After using your grapple, jump and get it.
Completion bonus
Successfully complete the game and wait for the credits to roll, you will be prompted to save your game on a new game option. Do so and you can start the game with all previously unlocked cheats, power-ups, and items.
Defeating enemies
When a Boss or other strong enemy grabs you, keep pressing L (Shoot) to take away great amounts of life away from them.
Defeating Vampires
When you get to the part where you have to fight the three Vampires, take out the one on the left first. When the center Vampire is going to attack, she will make a screeching type of sound. When she does that, get ready to dodge her attack. When she uses her lightning attack, hide behind the pillar. When you take out the Vampire on the left, the center Vampire will transform. The transformed Vampire will land on the ground and remains still. Back away and do not get hit when she dives after you. If you follow this and attack at the correct times, you should be able to defeat them.

Im going to print this and see if I can answer all the questions asked on this website. Anyone whos posted a question will get an answer Ive beaten the game and gotten everything except a Life Increaser or two and some movies in the Gallery so I know what Im talking about.
First off the one who wanted to beat the game. What the flip kind of question is that Buy Primas Official Strategy for Van Helsing.
The guy who wanted a bomb is presumably talking about a Finishing Move which are located in little canisters represented along the bottom line of Heads Up Display health ammo etc. That little timer to the far left of your screen is well a timer and everytime you kill five monsters without letting the timer go all the way through its a five second timer dont damage an enemy for five seconds and your kill counter goes back to zero you get a Finishing Move. Hit the black button to fire it be precise when you throw it because there is no auto-aim on a finishing move.
To beat mission 5 fight the owls or shadow warriors or whatever when you appear near the windmill. Then go through the gate at the far left end of the windmill section. There will be an L-shaped path that will lead up to the gates into CAstle Frankenstein. Destroy the banshees or whatever cross the bridge and hit B to go into the courtyard of Castle Frankenstein. Gargoyles will appear and if they do then you can fight them or proceed through the big door with a porch around it in front of you. There you will fight dwergi and once youre done with them go through the little door to your left and fire your crossbow at the statue until it goes into a little cut scene and you hear gears cranking or whatever. From there you will have to probably fight some dwergi after that jump up onto either chunk of balcony and swing your way across if the farthest one and go through the door located on the chunk of balcony. You will end up on a narrow path with stairs at the end. You can desecend them and fight the hordes of dwergi beneath or you can just jump off the brick path-thing grab the glowing purple Alternate Shotgun and run back up the stairs and through the doorway. Dwergi will appear but you dont have to fight them if you dont want to. Go along the balcony use your grapple to swing back onto the balcony beneath the paintings if you want until you get to the second story door youve been here before and go through it. Jump down equip Shotgun and hit L and fire at the glowing dragon underneath the statue you shot with the crossbow and an Easter Egg will appear in the fireplace behind the statue. Grab it and go back through the second story door the way you did before. Jump off the balcony and back onto the first story where you fought the dwergi the first time and Alternate Shotgun the door with a dragon on it. Go through the open space and you will come upon some fell spirits skeletons. Plow through them at the end of the passage near the left corner will be a grapple point use it to get an Ammo Replenisher then go through the door. You will face some dwergi but beat them and go through the door behind the globe and you will be on a balcony above the inner courtyard with statues. Jump up backwards land on the platform above and blast open the dragon doors with Alternate Shotgun to get a Life Increaser. Jump down and fight some monsters then use the egg from the fireplace to unlock the challenge by placing the egg click A at the inventory screen and then B when you get back to the game to unlock challenge on the pedestal beside the little shed. When youre done here go inside the shed and get on the elevator which will take you down to this little morgue thing. Blast through a lot of fell spirits till you get to the automatic door at the end of corridor. When you get to the end of the first set of walls a dwergi will appear behind you and three to four dwergi captains with rifles will appear in front of you. Id take out the guy behind you and then the captains but kill them then enter the room beside the glowing mechanical eye. More dwergi appear but dispatch them then jump on the elevator where a grapple point will appear. You will be pulled up and into the Pygmy Bat Room where youll have your first encounter with little white bats from the movie. Blow them to kingdom come and then go the end of hall to your left where your perspective will change and show you from a birds eye view a platform with the Lightning Gun on it and a grapple point to get up there to it. Use it get the gun and go back through the level the gear room the morgue path the elevator and all the way back up to the balcony that had the Life Increaser above it and enter the room with the globe and shelves and now banshees whereas before it was dwergi. Get rid of the banshees and go over to the blue glowing orb with gears around it. Fire your Lightning Gun straight into the orb using aim or just precision it may be hard for some I didnt get it the first couple of times I tried keep trying until it goes into a mini-cut scene and the a platform with a telescope lowers and an EAster Egg is on it. Get it and go forward through the level until you get past the morgue path barrels piled up along the walls and fell spirits and into the gear room. Get rid of any monsters you find and them repeat the same firing of the Lightning Gun into the similar looking orb with gears around it. Then go into the room beneath the pygmy bat room and jump on the elevator. There you will be carried up to your first encounter with Dracula. To defeat him just use your smarts. He has this attack where you teleports beneath and rams an ice spike upwards be careful of that one. His giant icicles which spike up from the floor can be avoided by just walking around avoiding them. Use your Alternate Pistols hit L to engage them as much as possible because they hurt Dracula more than almost any monster on the game. Just dodge press R and A at the same time his attacks and use your pistols Alternate and normal and you will eventually defeat him if you lose your hat go over to it and hit B to put it back on if you beat all the bosses on the game with your hat on you get a new Van Helsing costume when you beat the game.
To beat the three vampires get behind the pillar located farthest to the left and farthest to the back of the church and fire away your Alternate Pistols and then normal pistols when you run out being careful to dodge the little laser pillars that Marishka makes shoot up out of the ground the pillar youre behind usually shields you from her lightining attack. When youve shot the other two vampire brides Marishka transforms. She has a lightning attack and a lunge attack her most powerful and a kind of whack attack with her wings when you get close. When she does the lunge dodge back back back until youre way out of her range and fire away with pistols. Thats about as good as it gets.
As for Igor go over to your far left from where you appear in the ruins and jump up onto the brick hill sloping off of the balcony atop the ruins where Igor usually attacks you from. When youre up here just dodge his projectile blasts and keep firing with your crossbow and your Alternate Pistols when you get enough Alternate Ammunition the little blue bar. Just dodge his long attacks and keep firing. The easiest way to beat him is to get up as high as he is so things are pretty even although one time Igor didnt get off an attack when I was on the ground beneath him.
