Show Collision Boxes
Enter Debug mode goto vs. or story play while in play press START button and then press L SHOULDER BUTTON once for 2d collision boxes or twice for 3d collision boxes. In addition pressing the L SHOULDER BUTTON again or three times in succession will disable the collision boxes entirely. The boxes shown are occupied region, lethal, and blocking. This is a quite funny trick and allows you to see exactly how the fighting system is working from a developer point of view. Priceless!
Guarding Heroes Text Tip
Instead of holding C to go through all that boring text hit the Right Shift button to scroll all the way to the end.
Guardian Heroes Nicole Tip
Using Nicoles "Im Angry Now" move (B+C) will drain some of your HPs, however if done succesfully against foes Nicole will recover a lot of her magic points, which can then be used to heal yourself or others. This is a good way to get back magic points and gain levels fast.
98 Continues
Set the game on easy and allow yourself to be killed after you have jumpred out of the starting room. Then choose "Give Up". Now in options set the difficulty on Hard and begin Story Mode again. When you die you should have 98 continues left.
Debug Code
While in the options screen highlight EXIT and hold down X+B+Z. Keep holding down those buttons then press down on the directional pad. When DIP Switch is highlighted hit A. There should now be debug mode option in the DIP Switch.
99 Continues
Start a game on easy, then push ABC+Start. Change To Normal or Hard mode. Load the game you gave up. Now U have 99 continues!!
Different Colors
Go to Vs. mode and start a battle. When choosing your character, instead of pressing C to select him/her, use X, Y, Z, A, or B. You will get different colors for every button! This can be just wacky or useful. For instance, you can have a yellow-haired Valgar, and weird colored Nandos. It can be helpful if there is more than one of your type of character on the screen, because you can then choose different colors so you dont get mixed up in the heat of battle.
Refill Energy
Do the debug trick, then hold x,y,z, and pressup in the game, you will refill your energy.
Fake Die
Press and hold x,y,z then press down, then immediately (keep hold x,y,z.) press up. This will make it look like your charater is dead, but he/she still has full power!!
Other Tricks
You know the debug trick, right? Ive found out that this trick has more to do! First, you should have known the x, y, z, and up trick. Then the x, y, z and down trick will make you die. but its not so bad at all. If you try to die in differnet place and different time, you can see some funny movement. For example, when the guy who had the hero sword went to the graveyard and the skeleton STOLE the sword, there is a little time that the guy will stay in the air. At that time, do the die trick and keep going on. You will see him flying backward!! There should be more to do, and if you get something really funny, please tell me. And if you actually died, press R shift and hold then press start. This will make it look like a movie.
Keep your sword!
First enable the Debug code, then when you and Serena are fighting the robot in the first level, use the x+y+z code twice. You will watch Serena fight the robot by herself. After she wins, the fallen robot just lays on the ground with Serena standing next to it. Now press R-shift+start. This warps you further in the game, only you still have your special sword and the undead hero has it too!
Debug Mode - Japanese
In debug mode you can access a ton of options, including stage select, maximum life, level skip, and others. To enable this mode, enter Option mode and press A + Y + C. Enter the Setup screen and youll see a new Debug option.
After youve enabled debug mode, you have a choice of several options, including:
- Start at Level 200
- Stage Select
- Max or Zero life
- Pause the game.
- Hold X + Y + Z
- Press Up for max life or Down for zero life
- Forward or go Back to different battle scenes.
- Forward 1 scene - R + Start
- Forward 2 scenes - R + A + Start
- Forward 3 scenes - R + B + Start
- Forward 4 scenes - R + C + Start
- Backwards 1 scene - L + R + Start
- Backwards 2 scenes - L + R + A + Start
- Backwards 3 scenes - L + R + B + Start
- Backwards 4 scenes - L + R + C + Start
- You can play all 45 characters in Vs battle.
- You can max your characters power out.
- You can choose which stage to begin on in story mode.
- You can watch the different endings.
