Mirror Mode
On the track selection screen, hold down X,Y, and Z then select a track with the normal A or C. It will put the words Mirror Mode under the Arcade/Time Attack wordage on the left.
Rocket start
Hold the brake and accelerate buttons. While accelerating, keeping you RPMs between 6500 and 7000. When the race starts let go of the break but keep holding the accelerator. Get ready to fly by your opponents.
Make Jeffry do stupid poses for you
Drive up to the statue of Jeffry, and stop in front of him. Press the X button rapiddly so he turns, and stands on his head.
Daytona Car
Finish first on all the tracks on the normal difficulty and you will be rewarded with a new car called "Daytona". It is the original car from Daytona USA, but is better than ever with 5 stars in every category.
Uma
Finish first on all the tracks on the hard difficulty level and youll get to race as the horse named "Uma".
Uma 2
If you beat all the tracks on normal with uma you get a uma 2.
Tip for Fixing Control
I noticed from reading reviews and also experiencing it myself that the game controls seemed a bit twichy even when the option handling is set on slow.So I experimented with the handling on quick and it seems a lot better.I think that this is an error in options,So if you want to set the control to "slow" then set it on "quick",and visce versa. (note:on the hidden car/s,horse/s it is how its set slow means slow and quick means quick) I hopes this helps people who have been frustrated(like myself) with the control.
Change Time from e20n0924
At the screen "Gentelmen start your engines" press x, y or z to play as different time of the day.(night, sunset, afternoon)(might only be for the Japanese version).
Easy Way to Get Extras
At the main menu (arcarde/time attack/...) press and hold the following buttons to get the secret cars the easy way:
X+Y+Z+R , select with A-button Daytona Car
X+Z+L , select with A-button Uma
y+z+l+r , select with A-button Uma2 (correction from Seth)
The codes only work when activated in the order above, e.g. to activate Uma you have to do the Daytona car code first, then go back to main menu by pressing B and enter the Uma code.
More Daytimes to Race At
If you hold the X+Z or the X+Y buttons during the Gentleman Start Your Engines-screen there will be two more daytimes... (Might only work in Japanese version)
Trick
For the track Holy Canyon when you start the course, do a complete U-turn when you start. When you are driving backwards, there is a ramp leading upwards to your right. Go up it. Up the ramp is a small corridor with a sign posted on the back wall. It reads, Congratulations! You just lost all your sponsors!
Improve Time
On the Sea Side Galaxy track go up over the hill after the horses in the field to lower your best time.
Replay Toggles
X--zooms in when behind-car view is on
Y--toggles instrument panels
Z--zooms in when behind-car view is on
A--toggles wide-sweeping angles
B--toggles behind-the-ol-car view
C--toggles helicopter view on/off
